Technical Support Department

The Technical Support Department (DST) of FIEC provides technological assistance to faculty, students, and administrative staff, ensuring the efficient use of the faculty’s IT resources and contributing to the academic, scientific, and technological development of our community.

FIEC Staff

  • Computer labs can only be reserved by faculty members through the Reservar Salas (Room Reservation) system.
  • Student groups or associations may request use of the lab, under the responsibility of a faculty member who signs the corresponding form.
  • The graduate coordinator is responsible for reserving labs for postgraduate activities.
  • If additional software installation is required, the request must be submitted at least 7 days in advance, along with the authorized installer.

FIEC Students

  • FIEC students may use the computer labs located in Building 11B (Labs 3 to 6) by presenting their student ID card or national ID.
  • Computer labs hours: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.

Undergraduate Classes

  • Faculty may reserve labs for classes through the Reservar Salas system.
  • Available hours: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
  • The mobile lab loan service is available for class use from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00, by signing the equipment loan log.

Training Sessions, Workshops, Events, Exams, and Postgraduate Classes

  • For these activities:
    • Check availability via the Reservar Salas system.
    • Request usage authorization from the Dean's Office by email or official letter.
  • Request Deadlines:
    • FIEC activities: At least 2 days in advance (if no additional software is required).
    • General ESPOL activities: At least 3 days in advance (if no additional software is required).

Users from Other ESPOL Units

  • Check availability via the Reservar Salas system.
  • Request authorization from the FIEC Dean's Office by email or official letter.
  • Submit the request at least 3 days in advance (if no additional software is required).

External Users

  • Equipment loans are subject to availability.
  • Authorization from the FIEC Dean's Office must be requested via email or official letter.
