Have an active registration.
Having approved the Integrative Subject.
Do not maintain debts of VALUE or NO VALUE with the Institution
Have pre-professional business and community service practices, duly registered in the system.

Instructions for the process of cancellation of the subject or subjects of the academic period

The subject or subjects cancellation process is an alternative that the student can manage as long as the event or cause is declared as unforeseeable, irresistible and not attributable to the student's negligence.
It is important to keep in mind that the annulment process is only for cases of fortuitous or force majeure, demonstrating in documented form that you are prevented from continuing your studies in all your subjects, it is not selective.

    1. Relevances/causes

  • Inaccessibility to technological or connectivity resources. (virtual period)
  • Health/psychological problems.
  • Fortuitous situations or Force Majeure.
  • Domestic calamity.
  • Vulnerable economic situation

    2. Options to start a process

  1. Cancellation of subjects. - The affectation prevents him from complying with the performance in all the subjects that are registered.
  2. Cancellation of matter. - The affectation prevents him from complying with the correct academic performance in the particular subject.

    3. Deadline for submitting the application

The student may present the request for withdrawal of subjects, maximum within a period of one year after the alleged fact; as long as they have NOT previously ENROLLED in any subject at ESPOL. If the withdrawal is made in one or several subjects whose registration was made within the extraordinary registration period, the amount paid will not be returned.

• Natural disaster, Unemployment or Strikes.

Documents of evidence that demonstrate the affectation, issued by a public/private institution, of aid or assistance.

Domestic calamity

Death, accident or catastrophic illness of relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity.

Death certificate.

Copy of ID of the family member and student.

Vulnerable or limited economic situation

Scarcity of economic resources (water, electricity, etc.).

Loss of employment of the head of household.

Notifications of cuts (water, electricity).

Loan action and its cushioning.

 

    6. Who approves the process?

The approval of this request will be resolved by the Board of Directors of the Faculty, in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Degree Regulations.
